Alicia is a born and bred Novocastrian with a real passion for, and extensive knowledge of, property law and conveyancing along with wills and estates. Having established Next Legal and Conveyancing primarily on referrals from aligned professionals and repeat clientele, Alicia prides herself, and the firm, on the outstanding client testimonials consistently received.
Alicia’s dedication is demonstrated in her availability to clients and referral partners, including after hours and on weekends, as she understands the fast-paced nature of conveyancing and the property market. Alicia’s commitment to her clients, high level of service and excellent results are evidenced by the astronomical and exponential growth of Next Legal and Conveyancing, in such a short period of time.
Having worked in the legal industry since 2012, Alicia completed her studies at the University of New England in 2016, when she attained a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Criminology. Alicia then completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law.
Alicia gained valuable experience at an established firm, where she quickly became the managing solicitor of her team. She then moved to another firm to establish a property law and estate planning department which expanded rapidly.
Entrepreneurship is part of Alicia’s DNA, she is a born leader and advocate, so launching her own legal practice was a natural step which has proven beneficial to clients, the team and the wider local community.
An Award-winning and Inspirational Leader
Supported by her trusted team and professional business advisers, Alicia is an award-winning business owner who’s proud to be considered one of the best businesswomen in Newcastle and the Hunter.
Alicia has inspired others through being a guest speaker for the Hunter Business Chamber’s Women in Business event, keynote speaker at the 45th anniversary celebrations for Jenny’s Place and has appeared as a keynote speaker at several other local events.
With a passion for mentoring young people to develop their careers, Alicia has been invited to return to the high school she attended to speak with, and inspire, the students by telling her story to demonstrate that anything is possible for them. Alicia also attends Careers Days to encourage school leavers to pursue a career in the law. Alicia often coaches and mentors solicitors from other firms, professionals and business owners and assists them to navigate their own journey.
